Call for Papers
ISCAR 2025 Regional Southern Europe and Middle East Conference. Theme: Towards Equity, Peace and Sustainability in time of Crisis. November 5–7, 2025. Hosted by the Faculty of Education, UIC Barcelona-Sant Cugat, Spain.
We invite scholars to participate in the ISCAR 2025 Regional Southern Europe and Middle East Conference, centered on the theme "Towards Equity, Peace and Sustainability in time of Crisis".
This conference aims to foster dialogue and collaboration around how Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) and related approaches can address the pressing challenges of our time in fostering equitable, inclusive, and sustainable communities.
Conference Theme
The theme underscores the importance of equity, peace, and sustainability as foundational pillars for creating just societies. We welcome contributions that explore how CHAT, expansive learning, and sociocultural theories illuminate and advance research and practices that address inequality, enhance participation, and promote sustainable futures across diverse cultural, institutional, and social contexts.
This theme also encourages critical reflections on the historical roots, contemporary applications, and future perspectives of CHAT and related approaches.
